Cooler, air cooler, evaporative/adiabatic/water air conditioner – many names, one type of device. The most important aspect here is the cooling method, which does not rely, as in a traditional air conditioning system, on compressing and expanding refrigerants, but on the evaporation of water.
The cooler is equipped with cooling pads that remain soaked with water throughout its operation. Hot air is drawn in by the fan and passes through the pads, and the water contained in them absorbs heat through the natural process of evaporation. As a result, the device delivers a refreshing, cool breeze of air. The humidity level in the cooled room also increases.
It is worth adding that the higher the temperature, the more efficient the operation of the water air conditioner becomes.
An additional advantage of this device is that it does not need to draw air from outside the building!
