Practical tip:
Please remember that a cordless phone owes its name for a reason. After each full charge of the battery, the handset should be removed from the base. It is also a bad habit to place the handset back on the base after every call, etc. (unless the call interrupted the charging process). Whenever possible, place the handset on the base only when the battery is low.
Frequent, regular placement of the handset on the base shortens the battery's lifespan!
