Uni-T UT12M is a professional, non-contact alternating current (AC) voltage detector designed with electricians, installers, and individual users in mind who value safety and convenience. The device allows for quick and precise detection of voltage in wires and electrical outlets, and also offers a magnetic field detection function, enabling the checking of the proper operation of coils, relays, or solenoid valves.
The tester operates in two ranges – in the low voltage mode (24–1000 V AC) and high voltage mode (90–1000 V AC), making it a versatile tool for both basic household tasks and professional industrial applications. The presence of voltage is indicated by both an LED and an acoustic signal, the frequency of which increases as the device approaches a live wire. An additional convenience is the built-in LED flashlight, allowing work in dark rooms or hard-to-reach corners of installations.
The UT12M is constructed from durable materials, and the housing meets the IP67 standard, providing complete protection against dust and water. The tester is also resistant to drops from a height of up to 2 meters, which increases its durability during intensive use. To save energy, the device automatically turns off after a certain period of inactivity, and an additional indicator informs about low battery levels. Power is provided by two AAA batteries, which are included in the set.
