TP-LINK TL-SG1005D
Main features:
Product application
The 5-port gigabit switch TP-LINK TL-SG1005D allows for easy bandwidth expansion of the Ethernet network for gigabit connections. With it, you can increase the speed of connections to servers and other important connections in the network. The TL-SG1005D switch is an energy-efficient device. Thanks to innovative technology, the device can save up to 70% of energy, making it an eco-friendly solution for both home and office networks.
Gigabit switch
Equipped with 5 ports of 10/100/1000Mb/s, the TL-SG1005D switch increases network bandwidth, enabling rapid transfer of large files. Users in homes, offices, workgroups, or production environments can now transfer larger files that require high bandwidth. This allows for immediate sharing of graphic files, CGI, CAD, or multimedia files over the network.
Easy operation
The automatic features of the switch make its installation hassle-free and do not require configuration input. Thanks to the MDI/MDIX feature, there is no need to use crossover cables. The automatic negotiation feature allows for automatic detection of the speed of devices connected to each port (10, 100, or 1000Mb/s), ensuring optimal transmission performance.
Energy-efficient Ethernet network
By creating a gigabit Ethernet network, you can now choose an environmentally friendly solution! The TL-SG1005D switch utilizes technology that allows for high bandwidth networking with significant energy savings. The device automatically adjusts the required power consumption based on the connection status and cable length, reducing energy consumption.
Power off unused ports
Traditional network switches consume a significant amount of energy for ports, even if the devices connected to them are turned off. The TL-SG1005D switch automatically detects the connection status of each port, reducing the power consumption of inactive ports.
Power consumption dependent on cable length
Theoretically, using shorter cables should reduce energy consumption due to lower energy losses over their length. However, most devices consume the same amount of energy regardless of cable length. The TL-SG1005D switch analyzes the length of the cables connected to it and adjusts the amount of energy consumed by the ports accordingly.
