Xtar DS1 is a high-quality diving flashlight with a compact design featuring an original Cree XP-L2 LED that offers a light output of 1000 lumens and a range of up to 280 meters. The precisely finished, perfectly fitted body of the DS1 flashlight is made of high-quality AL6063 aluminum alloy. Additionally, the entire unit is coated with an anti-corrosive agent. The design is sealed with o-rings, ensuring water resistance up to 100m. High-quality contacts and two gold-plated springs provide very good battery contact and high shock resistance. The strong focused light (focused spot -7°, spill 72°) is ideal for diving in underwater caves and grottos. Furthermore, by using high-quality tempered glass with an anti-reflective coating, we achieve the maximum efficient light source. The transmittance of this glass is as high as 98.5%, while the standard transparency of glass ranges from 82% to 92%. For better grip, the flashlight body is equipped with 3 ribbed rings - ensuring that the flashlight does not easily slip from the hand. 

In case of a discharged battery, the DS1 will notify the user by blinking three times. This is a sign that the battery charge level has dropped below 5%. The flashlight is also equipped with a series of protections such as:

• thermal protection - if the internal temperature of the flashlight approaches 60°C, the controller will reduce the brightness to cool down and not exceed the critical temperature.
• reverse polarity protection - the flashlight has an intelligent circuit that prevents damage to the system in case the battery is installed incorrectly. 

Unlike most competing flashlights, Xtar has used a magnetic slider instead of a regular switch in its design, allowing the DS1 to have smooth brightness adjustment.
