Garvean MTG-3000H – natural gas, propane, and butane sensor
Garvean MTG-3000H is a gas sensor designed to monitor rooms for the presence of natural gas (methane), propane, butane, and their mixtures. Equipped with a sensitive catalytic sensor, it provides continuous monitoring of gas concentration in the air. In case of detecting a dangerous concentration, it activates an optical and acoustic alarm, warning of potential danger.
MTG-3000H meets the requirements of standards PN-EN 50194-1:2024 (EN 50194-1:2023) and PN-EN 50194-2:2019 (EN 50194-2:2019). Compliance with the requirements of these standards has been confirmed by a certificate issued by the independent research unit TÜV Rheinland. As a result, the sensor can be used not only in residential buildings but also in vehicles and caravanning facilities, as well as on boats and yachts, in accordance with its usage conditions.
The device activates the alarm signal at a gas concentration of 12% of the lower explosion limit (LEL). The alarm turns off when the gas concentration drops below the threshold level. The built-in self-diagnostic system checks the sensor's functionality and the internal circuits of the device. In case of detecting irregularities, a yellow LED lights up, indicating a fault.
The sensor is powered by a 12 V DC voltage using the included power supply. Thanks to the possibility of using a special plug for the car cigarette lighter socket (available separately), it can also be used in cars, campers, caravans, motorboats, and yachts equipped with the appropriate power socket.
Garvean MTG-3000H is suitable for kitchens with gas stoves, boiler rooms, rooms with gas devices and installations, as well as in other places where there is a risk of gas leakage. Easy installation, compact dimensions, and a power cord length of 1.8 m facilitate installation and everyday use.
