The Smart IC technology adjusts the charging parameters to the needs of the connected device and protects against overcharging or damage to the connected device due to sudden voltage spikes.

The charger is compliant with the DCP (dedicated charging port) standard for charging mobile devices, commonly referred to as: "speed charge", "fast charge". DCP-compliant power supplies have pins shorted together, which under normal conditions are used for data transmission.
