Every European manufacturer is obliged to provide reliable information on the capacity of batteries.

The technological maximum limit of currently achieved capacities for Ni-MH batteries is about 1100 mAh for R03/AAA ('small fingers') and about 2700 mAh for R6/AA ('ordinary fingers') - although even these capacities are practically unheard of due to the problem with the life of such batteries.

However, not everyone is aware of the maximum capacities that Ni-MH, Li-ion batteries, etc. can reach. This ignorance is used by some manufacturers and sellers, as a result of which you can still find batteries on the market with significantly inflated capacity markings, which is obviously a reprehensible practice.
