Buffer operation (emergency power supply) - the battery is constantly connected to the charging system (e.g.: emergency alarm systems, automation and lighting, UPS) and serves as an emergency power source in case of a power outage.
Cyclic operation - the battery is the primary power source for the device (e.g.: powering electric toys, medical equipment, in camping trailers, cleaning machines) and after charging is connected to the receivers, while after each use and discharge - it is recharged with special chargers with the appropriate charging current. The battery must not be discharged below the cut-off voltage thresholds and must not be left or stored in a discharged state.
Key features and benefits
- Long lifespan and versatile maintenance-free operation
- Very slow self-discharge process
- Does not require vertical positioning during operation, installation flexibility
- Does not require electrolyte topping up
- Highly sealed, no electrolyte leaks, does not require room ventilation
- Increased resistance to extreme temperatures, shocks, and vibrations
RECOMMENDATIONS
Especially in the case of cyclic operation, the battery should be recharged after each use, it must not be discharged below the voltage thresholds (10.5V for a 12V battery and 4.5V for a 6V battery) and must not be left or stored in a discharged state. The battery requires constant cleanliness maintenance, during its cleaning, no substances or liquids should be allowed to enter the inside of the battery. Maintenance-free batteries are charged under the same principles as serviceable batteries.
