Battery with stable voltage
One of the main features of eneloop technology is the higher voltage level. Many devices turn off or signal a low battery charge if the voltage drops below 1.1 V. A traditional Ni-MH battery loses voltage gradually and reaches a critical level very quickly. In contrast, the eneloop battery will maintain a voltage above 1.1V for a long time, and will only drop below this level just before complete discharge.
