The microprocessor charger BQ-CC17 is designed for charging eneloop cells or NiMH batteries of type R6/AA or R03/AAA. It can charge 1, 2, 3, or 4 batteries simultaneously.

Battery with stable voltage level
One of the main features of eneloop technology is the higher voltage level. Many devices turn off or signal a low battery charge if the voltage drops below 1.1 V. A traditional Ni-MH battery gradually loses voltage and reaches a critical level very quickly. In contrast, the eneloop battery will maintain a voltage above 1.1V for a long time, and will only drop below this level just before complete discharge.
