UT123T is a simple multimeter universal meter designed to perform basic electrical measurements in the home, car or hobbyist's workshop. The compact small external dimensions are ideal for mobile applications or as a pocket spare multimeter for electronics or electricians. The UT123T digital multimeter is especially recommended for beginners in electronics or people who do not have contact with electricity on a daily basis. Thanks to the simplified design and only two measuring terminals, the meter test leads are always correctly connected. Measurement ranges are limited to the necessary minimum. and the sub-ranges automatically switch (meter with automatic change of measurement ranges).
What are the capabilities of the UT123T meter? On the range of the AC voltmeter, we can measure the voltage value in the household electrical outlet, check if the voltage goes through the wire to the device. With a DC voltmeter, we can measure the value of the battery voltage in order to verify their degree of charge. We will check the voltage in the battery, and the charging voltage with the engine running. With an ohmmeter, we can identify the values of resistors, cables and wires. With the help of a digital temperature meter and a thermocouple probe, we can test car air conditioning or cooling at a specific temperature. With an acoustic continuity tester, the so-called "buzzer", we can check the correctness of the electrical connection: the connection of the two measuring tips of the meter, red and black, is signaled acoustically by the built-in buzzer. Thanks to this practical option, we can check the passage in wires and cables, identify where a given wire comes out when we have the whole harness, check the passage in fuses, etc. The NCV function allows for non-contact detection of e.g. wires in the wall with 230V AC mains voltage. A useful function when drilling holes in the wall, where we do not know if there are any electrical wires at the drilling point.
The UT123T meter is manufactured by the renowned Unit company. It comes with an inverted display with a black background and blue characters. It has an internal function of monitoring the status of R03 finger batteries. When the batteries are discharged, the appropriate icon will be displayed on the display. Taking measurements with a meter with discharged power batteries is burdened with a very large error. Thanks to this function, we will avoid erroneous readings. In addition, the meter has a battery-saving function: Auto Power Off. When no operations are performed on the meter for 15 minutes, it will automatically turn off by itself.
