What can be fixed with an Octopussy?
- Gluing slats.
- Gluing ceramic tiles.
- Hanging a plate with the house number.
- Fastening ceiling cornices and borders.
- Gluing polystyrene elements.
- Gluing decorative wooden elements.
- Gluing gypsum boards.
- Reinforcement of carpentry joints on the groove.
- Cable duct fastening.
- Fixing information plates.
- Step 1 - Make sure that at least one of the surfaces to be glued is absorbent and make sure that both are clean and dry.
- Step 2 -Apply a generous amount of glue in the form of corrugated lines or points.
- Step 3 - Connect both surfaces and press firmly. Then remove excess glue with a damp cloth.
- The glue dries completely after 24 hours.
About the glue Octopussy:
- It is ideal for bonding absorbent and porous surfaces.
- It reaches maximum strength after 24 hours after application.
- It is not flammable.
- It is not immune to direct fire.
- After drying, it is resistant to temperatures between -20 C and 70 C, without changing its properties.
Warnings:
- The octopus has not been approved for medical or veterinary use, so we do not recommend its use on any part of the human or animal body or dental appliances.
- The octopus does not stick polyolefins (polyethylene and polypropylene), Teflon (PTFE), EVA rubber or silicone.
Recommended precautions:
- To assess whether the surface is porous or absorbent, you can perform a test with a drop of water. If the surface absorbs water, then it is porous or absorbent and suitable for gluing with this product.
- To glue heavy objects, we recommend temporarily supporting them until the Octopussy glue is completely dry.
- Store Octopus adhesive between 5 C and 30 C for best results.
- We do not recommend using the Octopus to glue objects that are then permanently immersed in water.
- If there are product residues after using Octopus glue, the soiled surfaces can be washed with water or water and detergent before the adhesive hardens completely.
- If you are going to use the Octopus to glue the object to the wall, we recommend that you prepare it so that it is in good condition, clean and free of dirt and dust. Walls in poor condition are not conducive to effective gluing.
- After the glue Octopus dries, it can be painted. Latex paints can be applied 2 hours after applying the product. For synthetic paints, we recommend waiting 72 hours.
- If the octopus spills on your hands, we recommend washing them with plenty of lukewarm water, removing excess dried product with a delicate abrasive (eg pumice stone) under a stream of water. Then, for relief, smear your hands with cream.
